Hi, I’m Tracey Woolf, an experienced therapist in Norwich

I have worked in counselling and mental health spanning 20 years across East Anglia and London, and now also offer supervision.

In person or online, I will support you to explore your feelings and how you experience yourself in the world and in relation to others. The aim is to empower you to be able to make choices, take control over your life and find a way forward that is right for you.

Training & qualifications

  • My main training is in the Person-Centred approach to counselling. My qualifications include a Diploma in Practitioner Counselling (2003) as well as a Degree in Person Centred Counselling (2009) and a Diploma in Clinical Supervision (2025).

  • I am a registered member of the The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), a professional association for members of the counselling professions in the UK.

  • I am committed to continued professional development, with regular supervision, meetings with other practitioners, and ongoing training as per best practice and NCPS guidelines.

  • Over the past 20 years I have been privileged to work in a range of professional settings within mental health services across London and East Anglia, within the voluntary sector.

I believe in your inherent capacity to heal and grow,
despite any obstacles you might be facing

Gender, sexuality and relationship diversity

As part of my broader work as a therapist in Norwich, I have a dedicated interest in working with people wishing to explore issues related to gender, sexuality and relationship diversity.

I use the pronouns she/her and identify as lesbian/queer. Thank you Norwich Pride for providing this fantastic image taken by Roo Pitt.

In nature

I grew up in London and moved to Norfolk nearly 20 years ago, finally settling in Norwich - which truly is a fine city! I try and spend as much time as possible outdoors and feel blessed to have UEA quite close by and beaches within easy reach, giving me opportunities to capture grounding moments of nature, such as ones shown on this website.

Why counselling

I originally entered the profession after having had counselling myself, wishing to understand more about how the process worked and how I could support others.

The impact of being seen and accepted in a therapeutic setting with another human can be incredibly healing.

A welcoming setting as a therapist in Norwich

My counselling practice is based in the centre of Norwich, by the cathedral right in the heart of town. It is a tranquil place to work, and for you, I hope, a peaceful place to visit.

I am now offering in person sessions to those clients who wish to meet with me in my office. I am still working online for those who prefer to meet via zoom.
